From time to time, we plan to put the spotlight on those employees who have gone above and beyond for the company and our customers. This month, Melvin Sanders is in the spotlight. An Auto Glass Service technician from Tennessee, Melvin – with no prior auto glass experience – became a pivotal part of the expansion of the region during a difficult year.
Within the last two years, Sanders joined the Auto Glass Service family in Murfreesboro. Our team was seeing 75-100 jobs each week and they were completed by three technicians. Within months, we started seeing 350-400 appointments each week with eight technicians. As each new team member joined, they turned to Sanders for guidance. And he stepped it up and stepped into his unofficial role of trainer and mentor – far and beyond his position.
We recognize that many would have become overwhelmed and possibly even frustrated by the increased responsibility but Sanders did not. He carried out every role with a huge smile on his face. Our Middle Tennessee location is thriving because of his eagerness to help and grow. Sanders is so dedicated to going the extra mile for our customers that he’s done just that many times – driving to Alabama to pick up parts not available locally in Tennessee when they were needed for specific appointments. This location is providing superior customer service and we couldn’t be prouder.
We genuinely appreciate Melvin Sanders and his steadfast commitment to going above and beyond for all of our Auto Glass Service customers. Nothing stopped Melvin from helping those who needed it – not a snowstorm or even a pandemic.
