Glass America Opens Two New Locations

Chicago, IL – Glass America is pleased to announce the opening of two brand new locations. The Lindenhurst, New York store will be headed up by manager Mike Chiavolo, and is the first Glass America location in Long Island. The new Huntington, West Virginia store is the first Glass America location in the entire state, and will be led by manager Pam McComas.

“I’d like to welcome the two new stores into our Glass America family,” said David Rohlfing, President & Chief Executive Officer of Glass America. “We are pleased to be expanding the company into two new markets in West Virginia and Long Island where we can make a significant impact in the auto glass replacement market. Both stores opened on the same day, and are a first for Glass America geographically. This is an exciting time. Pam and Mike are capable leaders who are sure to bring their stores much success.”
Lindenhurst, New York Manager Mike Chiavola, a Lindenhurst resident, previously owned the store when it was under the name South Shore Glass. Chiavola decided that he was ready to become a part of a bigger corporation, and was prepared for an acquisition. After a great deal of research of the top leaders in the industry, he called Glass America and found that their business style suited his needs for an auto glass replacement business. Chiavola said, “I am so glad to be a part of the Glass America family. We opened the store under the Glass America name because they are a company that not only stands behind quality work, but also because I knew that I would enjoy working with the people within the company.”

The Lindenhurst store has three employees: Mike Chiavola, Manager and Auto Glass Technician with 20 years of experience in the industry; Shawna Ladone, Customer Service Representative for one year; and Joseph Gambuzza, an Auto Glass Technician with 15 years of experience.

Ken Pemberton, a native of Huntington like Pam McComas, brings his 12 years of experience as a Sales Manager to the new store. Pemberton is the account manager for not only the Huntington store, but also for the Prestonsburg, Kentucky location.
